The Eurochallenge organised by Club Náutico Villajoyosa got under way on Saturday 27th April,  an overwhelming  200 paddlers were present on the start number of participants with more than 200 participants.  Present for the day were some of the best surfskiers in the world, including recent World Champion Cory Hill,  European Champion Hector Henot and many others. With the wind gusting 15 knots and the waves rolling, the race was confirmed as 22 KM in the direction was Altean.
